The Big Bag Theory

This large tote bag is a collaboration with Alberta silversmith Scott Hardy. It features four silver corners that serve as feet for the bag to rest upon. Each corner is filigreed and has a gold center in each flower. The arc of conchos below the oval handle have the same type of flower with gold centers. The butterfly motif on front and back is filigreed. The bag has two large compartments and a shaped cell phone pocket, all fully lined. It measures about fourteen inches tall. $7500

The Little Bag

While in France in 2009, I studied under a classically trained saddlemaker. I was able to add to my knowledge of hand sewing and molding leather. This small shoulder bag was inspired by some of the techniques I learned. The bag is fully lined and features a shaped pocket and a magnetic closure. Scott Hardy designed, fabricated, and engraved the sterling silver filigreed concho and buckle.  It is about seven inches deep top to bottom. $1680
